SECURITY IN CHINA

About us

Practical tools for understanding cameras, planning coverage and making informed security decisions.

Make every camera count.

Security in China is an independent English-language resource for planning camera systems and understanding documented equipment specifications. It brings practical CCTV calculations, horizontal coverage planning and source-linked product research together.

Useful tools, without invented certainty

We show the formula behind a calculation, the document behind a specification and the gaps behind a compatibility assessment. A matched codec or a shared protocol is useful evidence, but it does not prove that every feature of a camera and recorder will work together.

What is available today

  • Camera Simulator: place up to six cameras, adjust view angles and export a floor plan configuration.
  • CCTV Toolkit: calculate storage, bandwidth, field of view and total PoE budget.
  • Camera Database: filter and compare six lens-specific records from three manufacturers.
  • Compatibility Checker: assess selected camera and NVR stream constraints with explicit verification limits.

Editorial independence

No manufacturer affiliation, paid endorsement, customer rating or media appearance is claimed. Brand names identify equipment and its documentation. Product availability, pricing and purchase recommendations are outside this catalog’s scope.
